Tikona (also known as Vitandgad) is the dominant hill fort in Maval region in western India. It is located near Kamshet around 120 km from Mumbai. The village nearest to the fort is called Tikona-Peth. The 3500 ft high hill is pyramidal in shape and the name Tikona means "triangle".
The fort is a trekking destination noted for the large doors, the temple of 'Trimbakeshwar Mahadev', water tanks (seven water tanks) and some Satvahan caves. From the peak of the fort, one can view Pawna dam and the nearby forts of Tung, Lohagad and Visapur.

5:45 am : Leave from Mumbai via non AC private bus (Breakfast enroute)
9:00 am : Reach base village
9:30 am : Start with uphill trek
11:00 am : Reach at top (break of 2 hours and have lunch)
1:30 pm : Start downward trek
3:00 pm : Reach the base village, evening snacks
4:00 pm : Start return journey to Mumbai
8:00 pm : Reach Mumbai
Things to Carry :
- Backpack - to carry your belongings (please avoid sling bags)

- Cap, sun glasses and trekking shoes advisable. (Please avoid sneakers, canvas shoes having flat soles as there are high chances of slipping)
